Talking of experience, then inspiration, the Dr. Mary Nabulime’s latest exhibition is undoubtedly outstanding.
Taking place at Kampala’s Afriart gallery on 7th Street Industrial area, we discover Ssebo, a collection of craft, depicting a figure of masculine forms. It has an oversize face with large expressive eyes, a nose and mouth.
Nabulime says Ssebo is a reflection of the patriarchal society she lives in, where men are dominant and usually make all the important decisions.
Dr. Lillian Mary Nabulime’s Exhibition( 1993 – 2018) Sculptures inspired for the last 25 years are a visual story to ponder in reflection and relation of life, and the may be what next.
Due to public demand, this contemplative exhibition has been extended till 30th of April 2018
