Uganda-
The lockdown did real stunt businesses, but not creative minds. A.K Ibrahim recently launched his newly crafted Denim Jacket.
Terming it as one made ‘from the mistaken fabrics collection and the movement, ‘ this outfit is an ongoing collection the fashion designer is working, together with Joram Muzira, a Fashion Creative Director of Joram Model Management. This Jacket is crafted out by using second-hand Jeans collected from friends, while others are bought from “OWINO” the biggest second hand market in Uganda.

The Jacket was made from 100percent recycled old jeans that have been left for the land fill, and for a Ugandan icon and role model in the fashion industry to wear such a jacket means there is hope for sustainable fashion practices like recycling in Uganda ~A.K Ibrahim, Fashion Designer,
