Returning on its 5th edition, is the European Film Festival(EUFF). The Festival is organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Rwanda and partners, will kick off from 20 November to 1 December.
Taking place in Rwanda, the festival is organized as part of the the annual European Autumn of Culture, which comprises of a series of cultural events organised by the Delegation of the European Union and Embassies of EU Member States during the months of October – November.
Like the rest of the EU’s cultural events this year, the EUFF seeks to bridge Europe and Africa’s cultural connections and offers the Rwandan public some of the best and latest cinema productions.
The 15 films from more than 15 European countries and some from Africa present stories that cut across both continents or deal with topics relevant to Europeans and Africans alike of genres such as drama, comedy, fiction and more.
This year, the opening film is a co-production of Rwanda and Poland titled “Birds are signing in Kigali“. The film features a number of Rwandan actors/actresses such as Eliane Umuhire.
