He has before worked with Ugandans, Kenyans, South Africans, Tanzanians, Rwandans, and more on music videos, which have indeed set a great milage for their careers, but renowned Video producer Sasha Vybz’s upcoming video project is one which has already sent many into ponder. With images of scenes which have recently been posted across social media, it is evident how this is a unique project.
Developing the storyline, then further teaming up with Rwandan creatives who include Afro R&B musician Amalon from 1K Entertainment and rising Actress Shaddy Boo, who he casts in it, the short film raises great deal of anticipation.
The music video, soon to be released, presents a story set in 1845, of British cotton Farm, where Ryan Gravestone, a son to the Slave master arrives from the farm with the slaves.
The short film staring Amalon as Lilangwe Zipande and Imani Umwiza known Shaddy Boo is an epic battle by the two slaves who fell in love on a cotton farm, but further struggle to keep the love alive, is shot at a location in Uganda, East Africa. Sasha Vybz production.
Having created this concept earlier this year, and has been in the waiting for the right artists, Amalon and Deejay Pius bought it, “I’ve always worked with several Rwandan artists, and am glad Amalon and Deejay Pius came along, who adopted this idea,” explains Sasha Vybz, the Production Director at Shasha Vybz Productions.
“I feel like the industry has been infiltrated with by so much quick music videos, where there’s lack of storyline among most,” explains Sasha Vybz.
He chose 1845, which touches a crosscutting story of Slavery that is shared by Africa,”It depicts a struggle between two love birds at a slave farm,” he explains.
With other characters Marcus, Stephanie, Jenifer and Tennis, these are corporate people, who wanted to be part of this story according to Shasha Vybz.
