Having built a rich reputation for inspiring, teaching and reaching out to many through her music, legendary female Rwandan traditional artiste Cecile Kayirebwa, who still effects with her benevolent is to celebrate her 70th birthday. On November the 20th, at Kigali Serena hotel, the event which will coincide with St Cecilia Day, the patroness of musicians- also celebrated on 22nd November, will see Kayirebwa who was raised in a catholic family honor this eventful day with a live event.

The event entitled Igitaramo (Celebration), will see the artiste, who has since 1981 captured hearts through her music, again embracing her audience with more.
Performing too, will be Tamfum from DR Congo, Tito from Argentine, and Tamon Oshimo from the US, while musicians such as Ben Ngabo, Massamba Intore, Muyango alongside new generation artistes like Jules Sentore, Mani Martin and Deo Munyakazi will perform.
The event will also see the fundraising activity of CEKA I Rwanda, a non-profit making organization safe guarding Rwandan Culture.
