Dazzling, power-filled craft and electronic stage presence is a statement that describes the Nyege Nyege festival Culture each year, and 2020 too has seen the event’s roots being cemented firmer.
Organized by Talent Africa, and NBS Television, yet sponsored by Bell Lager, the Nyege Nyege festival is one of the very few events which has taken a stand by staging a concert this year through further going virtual.
Emcees Douglas Lwanga and Sheila Shalta were too notch in session coordinations, while the live Deejay mixtape interludes by Deejays: Roja, were a spice to the event too.
Day one saw vibrancy not only through live Deejay sets, but further performances artists Corole Kasita, Otim Alpha with an electro Acholi group, and Cindy Sanyu, who left a solid stamp to the stage.
Referred to as one of the fastest growing festival from East Africa, Nyege Nyege festival is a Hybrid event hosted by Uganda, bringing together a celebration cocktail of performance craft from Africa and beyond. This year’s edition kicked off on December 3 till 6.
