Considered one of Africa’s A- List Artists, born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy is an Afro-fusion song writer and musician, whose career kicked off in 2010.
As a lover of comic books, his stage name ‘Burna Boy‘ was derived from comic books by his friend Gabo(Rip).
The 27 year old had his breath-through in 2012, when he released Like To Party, then he further moved to Lagos city.
The musician has also before made an appearance in movies Deja Vu-(2015) directed by Sesan, and P.A.I.D(2017) directed by Clerance Peters.
On top of other awards won earlier on, Burna Boy recently took home four 2019 Sound City MVP Awards including the; Artist of the Year, Listeners’ Choice, Song of the Year and Best Make MVP.
