With Jazz being a rare genre amongst the Rwandan, and possibly the East African mainstream entertainment, Stella Tushabe is emerging with great determination for it.
From Kigali, Rwanda, the young female, who is steadily rising up, is one surprising many for her unique craft.

Yes, with barely no females in to the genre with in Rwanda, yet a few icons like Uganda’s MoRoots and Christine Kamau from Kenya, who have in time cemented a firm reputation, Tushabe is another Diva behind the Saxophone.
Having started of playing by taking private lessons, then making public appearances at Kigali’s Christian Life Assembly (CLA), she later performed at the Kigali Jazz Junction alongside Isaiah Katumwa, a Ugandan Jazz Maestro.
Tushabe, together with band members Evy and Delphine put up weekly performances on Sundays, at Kigali’s hotel Portofino, which have really spanned more.
