Award winning musicians Phyllisia Ross from America and Rwanda’s King James are the main guest acts to entertain live at this month’s Kigali Jazz Junction taking place on 30th at the Kigali Serena Hotel.
The event dedicated to the nurturing of the Jazz music genre, while also acting as a meeting point for the celebration of various genres returns in full gear.
King James, who is also the Airtel Rwanda Brand Ambassador, is returning back onto stage to give his fans a fully live stage presence on Kigali Jazz Junction, which he graces for the first time.
“Am so glad being part of the Kigali Jazz Junction performance with Phyllisia. We are ready for this event. With Neptunez Band, we’ve prepared enough, and just set,” explained King James.
Visiting Rwanda for her first time, the American-Haitian vocalist, who since 2010 has steadily made a twist into being a fully world musician, and is praised for her powerful stage energy is another act to embrace.
“Am so excited being here in Rwanda, and honored to represent the US. I really want to understand Africa myself , and to expose its beauty and the people to,” explains Phyllisia.
The world singer and songwriter is prominent through her blend of music ranging from Zouk, R&B, Pop, Jazz, Soul among others. The vocalist is also a winner for the Best Female Vocal in Haitian Academy Awards.
“Being the number one premium Beer, we are excited being part of the Kigali Jazz Junction. We believe bigger things are to happen this year,” explained Patricia Garuka, from Mutzig Beer Brand.
“Having captured the Rwandan market too since last year, we are glad to be part of the Kigali Jazz Junction, due to the class of people it attracts, which we really believe should be part of,” Brian Kirenga , an administrator from Infinix Mobile.
“Airtel Rwanda is really happy to be part of this event. With over 5 million people via our network, we will always be part of this prestigious celebration,” explained Lillian, an Administrator from Airtel Rwanda.
