Rwanda-
AKARWA (THE ISLAND), a Rwandan feature film directed by Yuhi Amuli, a rising film maker, is taking part in the 2018 LUXOR AFRICAN FILM FESTIVAL in Luxor, Egypt. The festival, which is on its 7th edition from 16th-22nd March is to feature the film as part of its scheduled premieres, under the Freedom and Human Rights International competition.

This film was also premiered at the URUSARO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, which took place on 9th March 2018, at the Umubano Hotel in Kigali – Rwanda, which it is also to feature at Rwanda’s MASHARIKI AFRICAN FILM FESTIVAL, from 25th-31st march 2018 in Kigali in the National Rwanda Short film Competition.
About the Film;
After a revelation that puts her village future in danger, a young girl is cursed and sentenced to death despite her hope to be saved by her parents and boyfriend.
