It gets quite trickier verbally painting this month’s edition, since words like great, amazing, hilarious, breathtaking could sound ‘cheap’ for the event. With Rwanda’s Neptunez Band staging another memorable stage presentation, the audience, which gathered at the Kigali Serena Hotel acknowledged the growth.
This month’s guest icons, who included Kenya’s Cece Sagini, a powerful lady, with great stage command and vocals beyond the usual, while Rwanda’s Nubian Gypsies were a band that revived all the old fond musical memories of the 60s, 70s and 80s. This month was a bridge between the powerful youthful African vibes, and the old, golden musical age, which quite lit up Rwandans. The stage also ushered in surprise talents like Rosette Kalimba, Lionel Manzi and more in performance.
