African Movie Night to Pay Tribute to 1994 Rwandan Genocide

Directed by Raoul Peck, and starring Edris Elba, Carole Karemera, Debra Winger, Oris Erhuero, Abby Mukiibi as leads, the film tells events which unfolded with in the country’s internal system, with influence of external forces leading to the massacre of over 1million Tutsis by the Hutu militia.

Still in line with the growth and recognition of the African Movie culture, the ongoing African Movie Night is organizing a special film screening in dedication to the 23rd Rwandan Genocide commemoration period, which kicks off on April 7th 2017.

About the Film

Directed by Raoul Peck, and starring Edris Elba, Carole Karemera, Debra Winger, Oris Erhuero, Abby Mukiibi as leads, the film tells events which unfolded with in the country’s internal system, with influence of external forces leading to the massacre of over 1million Tutsis by the Hutu militia.

The event will host a commemorative screening of Sometimes in April on April 7th, at the National Theatre in Kampala, from 7.30pm.
