Returning with its monthly experience is the Kigali Jazz Junction, a sole platform dedicated to Afro-Jazz and the fusion of other live genres.
Taking place at Kigali Serena hotel, on September 29, the this session will feature Nigerian female Afro-Pop and R&B musician Seyi Shay and Rwanda’s Charly and Nina as main acts in live performance.
“Though am not a Jazz artist, an so excited because I have prepared a Jazz rendition for you all, which am ready to share with you all,” explained Shay.
Having raised musically, initial stages in her career Seyi Shay spearheaded Bodicea, a five group girl band, which was managed by Mathew Knowles, who is also Beyonce’s father. Here they toured with Beyonce, and further featured on Breaking From Above, a reality show on MTV. In 2015, she release her debut album dubbed Seyi or Shay

The artist who is currently based in Lagos, Nigeria worked with worked with Award winning producers including Del B, TY Mix, Dokta Frabs, Legendary Beat, Harmony Samuels and others.
Charly and Nina are currently Rwanda’s spanning talented duo. Since its rise in 2013, their music has been embraced not only locally, but across the region. The duo has not only stopped at topping music charts, but also scooping numerous awards from Uganda.

“The fact that we are to share stage with Seyi Shay is of honor. We too are to share with you, and you will love it,” explains Nina.
Also to perform alongside the acts will be the Neptunez Band,Mavuno Band and Nigeria’ Dynamite Band.
A brainchild of Neptunez Band, Kigali Jazz Junction came to rise June 2015, emerging as a sole place where Jazz meets others fusions of music.
