Having premiered on Uganda’s Urban Television, and on DSTV channel 288, on July 31st, from 9:30pm, Beneath the Lies (Wansi W’obulimba) has been nominated for the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award 2017, in association with Multi choice .
Back as it hit screens in 2014, it got the audience glued to their screens- though just a few episodes were aired. After the disaster that befell the team, losing all their footage to unknown thugs, going back to the drawing board and re-shooting the entire series is what has been cooking, and thank God, the show, which quite keeps one at to the edge of their has impressed more since its return.
Directed by Nana Kagga Macphherson and a Savannah Moon productions in conjunction with Kinetic Management Group Beneath The Lies is a thriller with a trickery story line undertaking issues such as blackmail, drug trafficking, child prostitution and human trafficking. The star studded cast includes; Deedan Muyira, Flavia Tumusiime, Daniel Omara, Juuko Kaggwa Gaetano, Hellen Lukoma, Cedric Babu, Patrick Idringi Salvador, Raba Daba, Natasha Sinayobye among others who take you through what unfolds beneath the set surface, among majorly the ‘corporate lives’ from the city’s heart.
